Coach Shannon Pierce has been CrossFitting for an impressive six years and specializes in endurance training. She is passionate about finding new ways to empower CFMY members, civil rights, rescue dogs, and food. Shannon grew up playing basketball and regional competitive golf through high school. In college, she began running marathons and fell in love with endurance activities.
Believe it or not, the path that brought Shannon to CrossFit was the grind of law school. While studying law, she did not have enough time for frequent long runs. “CrossFit brought back the feeling of team sports through its supportive community and friendly competition,” she says. Shannon noticed the comprehensive physical outcomes of CrossFit and loves sharing this with members, allowing them to discover new capacities within themselves.
